There are various situations in the world. Some people are grateful to be born as human beings, while others swear that they never want to come to this world again. In all aspects of life, some people lament that "they are born with few blessings"; but there are also people who resist that "my fate is determined by me and not by God." People each experience different joys and sorrows. Why does it happen and why does it happen? Is it possible to change this life and pray for the next life? Or is it a duckweed without roots, floating around in the wind and rain from life to life? And we are facing the inevitable path of birth, old age, illness, death, and suffering. Can we go through life without fear?
The answer given to us by Shakyamuni Buddha is that we will definitely be able to reach the state of liberation.
More than 2,500 years ago, the saint Sakyamuni also pursued liberation from the troubles of birth, old age, illness, death, and suffering. When he was only 29 years old, he abandoned his luxurious royal life and embarked on the path of pursuing the truth of liberation. After undergoing various tests, he finally awakened to the supreme true wisdom under the Bodhi tree.
The Buddha used this wisdom to see clearly the causes and conditions of birth and death in the universe; he also used this wisdom to deal with all the people, things, and things around him; he more thoroughly understood the Buddha's own past lives, present lives, future lives, and life after life, all throughout the three worlds. It turns out that all these are just manifestations of Buddha nature. Then the Buddha applied this truth of liberation to himself, and he achieved liberation and became a fully enlightened Buddha.
Then the Buddha preached this truth of wisdom of liberation to the five monks, so that they could also practice according to this truth of liberation and attain the status of Arhat.
Therefore, Sakyamuni named this method and truth of liberation the "Four Noble Truths."
The "Four Noble Truths" include the "Truth of Suffering", "The Truth of Collection", "The Truth of Path" and "The Truth of Cessation". They are the crystallization of the wisdom of Sakyamuni Buddha and the basis for the Buddha to teach all living beings throughout his life. As long as we apply and practice the truths of the Four Noble Truths in the journey of life, we can achieve a life of freedom and freedom by "removing worries with a soft heart and living a life with joy", and look forward to a wiser and brighter future life!
